Jenny V. Desrosiers: visual alchemist

a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination.

Jenny (b. Boston, MA) is a Haitian-American cinematographer and multi-disciplinary artist. They are currently rooted in Brooklyn, NY.

Having been profoundly shaped by their Afro-Caribbean heritage and spiritual upbringing within the vibrant Haitian community of Boston, it is through these lived experiences that Jenny derives inspiration, crafting their artistic creations with the purpose of illuminating timeless narratives that have long been overlooked.

Having recently been honored with the prestigious Panavision New Filmmakers Grant, Jenny has skillfully captured a diverse array of stories through their lens. Their portfolio encompasses a rich tapestry of short narrative films, branded content, and music videos, delving into an array of thought-provoking themes. From exploring the complex inner emotional landscape of human beings, spirituality, love, and intergenerational trauma, to shedding light on the experiences of the queer community, the immigrant journey, and the fluidity of gender, Jenny's body of work demonstrates a keen sensitivity to underrepresented subjects that resonates deeply with viewers.
